I would like to wholeheartedly recommend Maqsood Ahmed. I have worked with Maqsood since late 2019, where he was selected to be one of the first, in a new crew of L2 VMWare and Windows Server Engineers. We insourced a net new team of engineers to replace a prior outsourced crew. From the first, Maqsood showed he was highly motivated to not just learn the basics, but also to learn as much as possible about our organization to show he was ready to support more than just tickets. Maqsood showed great aptitude in support of VMWare, Windows Server OS and especially Active Directory. He not only showed initial interest and acumen on each, but also requested to be given more opportunities for support of Active Directory. Based on this, Maqsood completed several L3 level tasks, and with a colleague took over project management to contact all LDAP interface owners (tens and tens of applications and printers, where they relied on LDAP/Active Directory connections) to get them to convert their configs to LDAPS for secure LDAP connections. Maqsood completed this arduous task with great resolve, and handed over the ongoing task to monitor for, and rectify any net new insecure LDAP connections to the Security Operations team. Maqsood is always friendly and brings a spirited attitude towards his workday; to me this is very important and have always enjoyed working with him!
