I am a Post Doctoral fellow with ARSEP-MSIF McDonald fellowship working in Prof. Takashi Yamamura's lab, at National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP), Tokyo, Japan. I am interested to know the role of exosomes in the propagation of gut microbiota signals in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis I am a Post Doctoral fellow with ARSEP-MSIF McDonald fellowship working in Prof. Takashi Yamamura's lab, at National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP), Tokyo, Japan. - Determined the role of insulin in formation and maintenance of myelin sheath in STZ induced rats of PNS. We found that, phosporylation of Serine (731) IRS2 was significantly elevated in DPN.- In addition, GRB2 (adopter protein) activation and OCT-6 (transcriptional factor)in response to insulin was significantly decreased in sciatic nerve of diabetic rats and Schwann cells grown in hyper glycemic conditions.

I worked on Retrospectively analyze the utility of serial measurements of Acetyl cholinesterase measurements in serum. - To check whether ROC curves obtained from serum Acetylcholinesterase levels can be used to differentiate poisoning with organophosphates, organochlorines and carbamates. - To obtain the standard data on analysis of serial measurement of plasma cholinesterase activity and other outcome parameters in acute poisoning with insecticide like organophosphate compounds. With outcome of this work we have published paper in Toxicology International.
