      I was hired to be a research assistant on a project which wanted to create knowledge about how stress levels affect gut microbiota and brain networks. My primary responsibility was to analyze blood and saliva samples, which I had myself coordinated the collection of samples from healthy young men around Medellín.Key responsibilities:- Full responsibility for sample collection and coordination of participants.- Analysis of all samples, using GC Chromatography for blood samples, and UV for saliva samples.- Based on the results of the analysis, I created a database that became the central source for the project and used by 10 scientists during the project.       I was hired by the university to support the company, Argos S.A.S, who wanted to know more about how microalgal cultures catch greenhouse gasses. This was with the intend of using our research to launch a microalgal pilot plant, which would serve as the business-case to scale production within this area.Key responsibilities:- I was responsible for running the analytical methods, to quantify polysaccharides and fatty acids from the microalgae, in order to see how the microalgal composition changed after exposure to greenhouses gasses.- I ran all activities within data visualization, creating graphs and slides from the data, using R (ANOVA, data visualization with ggplot2, and multivariate methods).
