I’ve worked with Manuel for almost 4 months on board. It was my first contract as Deck Cadet and Manuel’s first contract as Third Officer. As Third Officer with Navigational duties, Manuel was able to teach me a lot about Passage Plane, Watch-keeping, ECDIs, Radar Navigation, Meteorological Navigation, Radio communication and SMCP…etc Manuel was always ready to teach and show me how every instrument works on the bridge. Manuel finished the cadetship just the contract before this one and this is why his advises were very helpful and precious for me. Great teacher, great colleague and great friend in off-duty times !

A big aid for me was the experience in shipyard and drydock that lead me to understand what the ship is.
