I worked with Manuel at multiple jobs, across different timelines/work relationship (From 2011 until 2017). Manuel is very quiet, but technically a sound engineer. His expertise in embedded debugging, Android framework expertise, eager to learn new technologies is in-par with top engineers in the valley. His work is thorough and thinks through various use-cases (including QA test cases) before starting implementation. In one of the recent projects at E Ink, he ramped up on new tech (QT/QML) and single-handedly designed the entire application on PC&MAC. This trait of learning anything new and supporting team to achieve the product deliverable is highly commendable. You can depend 100% on Manuel to be independent, deliverables of high quality, committed to the project and be a great team player. I will recommend Manuel to any organization who wants a solid software engineer.

Manuel exhibits three very commendable qualities in an engineer - adaptability, collaboration and ownership. He has never shied away from a technical challenge and is never afraid to move out of his comfort zone to solve problems of high complexity. He is a great team player and is ready to go beyond his line of duty in collaborating with his team mates in solving multiple issues. He has been instrumental in bringing to market the Nook Tablet product line right from the early Nook Tablet to the latest Nook HD+. Manuel's skills and attitude towards work would be an asset to any organization and it has been a pleasure to work with such an engineer in my team.
