I was in charge of General Motors SUV programs. I was sent as representative of Quality department to GM at Saginaw, Detroit to present our business plan and make negotiations of this new project to Delphi, GMT900. Business was achieved and brought to Mexicali. For new programs (NPI) I developed PFMEA’s, PPAP’s, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams, Templates, Visual Aids, Poka Yokes. Programs that were already running were also analyzed and control plans were updated with lessons learned. I also worked with customer complaints (5 phases / 5 Why’s). A customer complaint reduction was observed from 67 reports/claims per year to only 3. During APQP (NPI) I solved supplier quality issues as well; I solved quality defects on several connectors of Power &Signal Company before we launch the program and perform the run & rate. I was in charge of special projects to reduce defective parts. A reduction from 1,250 defective parts to 50 by month was observed during the year I worked for this company.
