For my master's thesis I approached Philips with the idea of assessing the business potential of circular economy/refurbishment for the consumer market. Being part of the Floor Care and Sustainability department, I first assessed the financial viability of manufacturing refurbished products. Subsequently, I conducted a large quantitative research (conjoint analysis) into the preferences of Dutch consumers with regards to purchasing refurbished products.
