Some of the main systems I work on include Dell Servers and Storage, Quantum Backup Devices and Cisco Routers, Switches. We also offer 2nd/3rd Line IT Support for some sites around the West Midlands. Last year I was the Fastest Dell Engineer from Unisys in the UK with a 98% first visit fix. This shows I am very good at achieving targets required for the company. I have hit every target required every year in this position and most have been with outstanding results. I also currently assist in manage and leading a team of 24 engineers along side my manager. I started off at Xerox as a repair engineer for the printers to being promoted within 18 months to a product specialist. I am now 2nd line support to all field staff. Engineers will attend all jobs however they contact me for support where they are not able to complete this themselves. After a further 6 months into the role of a product specialised, I was then promoted again to a Deputy Team Leader. I have 12 members of the team reporting directly to me and I am also responsible to ensure the company standards and customer expectations are met at all times for all my staff. Show less

This position continues from my previous role. I was working at ABB one of IBM’s Clients for 2 months. The pervious guy providing IT support for this site had left. Initially they wanted someone to cover until they managed to get full time cover & thanks to my accomplishments in 2 months, they offered me a full-time role to stay and manage this site. There was over 700 users and I was thrown into the deep end as they needed someone urgently. During my time here I was responsible for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line support. The only help I had was on the other end of a phone from guys who were working at other ABB sites around the country. I am a very quick learner and loved the chance to step up and show what I can do. I learnt a great deal from this role as I hardly had much help and once again hitting every target required. In the end due to cost cutting I was made redundant and this is the only reason I had to leave this Job Show less
