  Role:  Plan and execute Information and Communication Technology projects in the states of West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Agartala, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh in an area significantly devoid of any telecommunication infrastructure to support army operations in counter terrorism and in the remote and hostile border areas adjoining China.  Coord operation and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure through five Senior General Managers in the states of Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.  Plan and execute effective and efficient administrative policies and procedures to coord the efforts of more than 7500 telecommunication personnel. Achievements  Implemented a strategic alliance with BSNL for sharing of optical fibres and multiplexing resources.  UHF mapping of remote and hostile mountainous terrain of the Himalayas to determine suitable sites for deployment of communication nodes.  Implementation of the Network For Spectrum project in the geographical area of the Northeast India.
