As the principal front end engineer I am responsible in making design and architectural decisions for the newly developed application. My main role at Collective[i] was setting up the foundation for the flagship product, continuously training and mentoring other members of the team, providing feedback during code reviews, as well as working with product leaders and others for the best solutions for any given problem. At OneSpan, I worked with a team building a fully responsive web application built on Angular and React as well as doing R&D for the application. This includes making decisions on design and architecture of the application. I am responsible for code reviews, writing unit test, and reviewing and updating documentation as well as building new components and functionality. The application also meets WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards. As a part of the Web App team it was my responsibility to create easily maintainable and QA tested code for the web application. I was also responsible for reviewing the code of my peers as well as writing tests. While here I was also able to greatly increase my knowledge of functional Javascript and the modern tools that are built on them like Angular and Redux while continuing to build on my strengths of creating fully responsive UI elements. My focus at Imajery is building and maintaining readable efficient Wordpress themes that not only looks good and works well, but is also SEO optimized and that supports internationalization. Working at Imajery I have been able to really understand the depths of working with Wordpress. I have also taken an interest in learning more about making websites that are more accessible for those who have limitations or special needs. At Code Brewers I was able to learn about a mobile first design and it’s benefits; switched to using primarily sass over less for styles and started to really get into the depths of javascript. I also started using gulp.js as a task handler for building static websites. I also continued building Wordpress themes, doing all the work that entails; coding the front end, and hooking up any functionality required.
