A few of our cornerstone achievements included the development and implementation of a comprehensive 5-Year Climate Action Plan and Water policy including a strategy for the Great Lakes.A significant aspect of my work involved stakeholder engagement, including crucial consultations with First Nations communities and almost every industry sector imaginable to establish a cap-and-trade system for carbon pricing. This collaborative effort for emissions reductions and was a pivotal milestone in our climate action journey.Further expanding our reach, I spearheaded efforts to link our cap-and-trade markets with California and Quebec. This inter-jurisdictional collaboration marked a significant step toward broader, more effective climate action across borders and generated almost $2billion in revenue for the Province.In addition, I was deeply involved with the consultations regarding the Circular Economy Program. This initiative, also developed in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders aimed at promoting sustainable business practices and resource utilization.My role also required close collaboration with policy staff for overseeing environmental assessments and addressing the complexities of contaminated sites, ensuring both regulatory compliance and public safety.On the event front, I organized a high-profile climate summit featuring eminent speakers from across North America. I also assisted in the planning process for the Ministry's role at international conferences, such as COP, to further our environmental and climate goals on a global stage. Show less
