  I worked for TOTAL PETROCHEMICALS site in Saint-Avold, France during 6th months, in the risk management department. Using a risk management tool Phast (Process Hazard Analysis Software Tool), we assessed situations which present potential hazards to life, property and the environment, and to quantify their severity. Phast examines the progress of a potential incident from the initial release to far-field dispersion including modelling of pool spreading and evaporation, and flammable and toxic effects. The analysis of Return of Experiences constituted the second part of my job. I listed all the REX available in different databases, I analysed them to determine their relevance and I shared the given information to avoid the reccurence of the accidents/incidents. Show less

  I worked, during 6 months, in the process safety department to create a database with returns of experiences specific to steamcraking process. I listed all accidents found on Internet or in different available databases. I analyzed their relevance and I created a word document with only relevant accidents to share information with different TOTAL sites.
