I work within one of the relationship managed supervision teams whose responsibility is to ensure the JFSC is able to effectively demonstrate achievement of its objectives and adherence to the guiding Principles and maintain Jersey’s reputation as a respected International Finance Centre.The role entails the management and supervision of a portfolio of enhanced and pro-active regulated entities, predominately within the Trust Company Business (TCB) sector but with some limited exposure to Money Services, Fund Services and Schedule 2’s such as Lawyers and Accountants. The supervision of these regulated entities requires an understanding of the primary and secondary legislation relevant to the regulated activities and the prevention and detection of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, as well as the Codes of Practice and the AML/ CFT Handbook.
