Manav Khera is one of the most committed professionals I have had the opportunity to work with. On the SMU Commerce Society, he has done nothing but work diligently to ensure this past academic year has been a success. Manav leads with passion and responsibility, and committment. Everything he does is done with a sense of purpose and the desire to achieve all of his goals and ensure a positive atmosphere for his colleagues around him. Along with being a true leader, Manav thrives on collaboration, he loves to work with his peers and his peers love to work with him. As a VP he demonstrated strong organizational and communicaton skills. I am honoured to have had the opportunity to work with Manav and I strongly believe he will succeed at everything he puts his mind too.

Manav is knowledgeable, professional, dedicated, and a pleasure to work with. He works with me as the Co-Curricular Record Facilitator at Saint Mary’s University, and he is somebody that I trust and can count on to always get the job done. Manav’s willingness to accept challenges while remaining open minded to feedback enables him to bring new ideas and initiatives to his work and our department. His positivity and leadership have been a great asset to our team. I highly recommend Manav!

Being a staff member at the John W. Lindsay YMCA of Greater Halifax was a great experience. I made my own decisions and also followed the basic principles of the organization. This role made me a great leader and increased my social skills. YMCA is not just an organization, it is a community. Being a staff member at the John W. I worked alongside my supervisor to mentor and guide students so they can engage more in the University by volunteering and attending events which helps them to gain valuable experience that can be added to their Co-Curricular Record. I also promoted the Co-Curricular record via newsletters and posters. This position taught me the importance of research and teamwork. It was an adventure while working at the Residence of Saint Mary's University. I had to deal with a lot of things that I had never taken action for before such as shutting down parties, calling emergency services for the residents, and escorting non-residents due to Covid Restrictions. Due to this, I learned to communicate effectively with residents to solve their queries and problems verbally or via email. I also wrote incident and medical reports, work orders, and other important documents in a timely manner with programs such as MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Teams. Show less
