You may be aware of an employee with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, or not, but it's important for you to at least be educated and familiar with the facts and details about it. Considering the world's mental health challenges pose, if nothing else, it'll show you care. First, between 2.5 and 3 percent of US adults suffer from GAD. It is more likely to occur in women than in men, with a rate of about 3.5 percent to about 2 percent, respectively. Between 5 and 6 percent of US adults experience this disorder at some point in their lives. This highest prevalence is within adults aged 30-59 years old at about 3.5 percent. Show less
