  Amaidi is a social enterprise with the aim to make this world a better place for those who are unlucky to be born in poor circumstances and have not yet lost their hope for a better tomorrow. Most of these people live in developing countries. Most of them are already making attempts to get out of poverty, illness, unemployment etc. We only need to give them a helping hand, sometimes literally! We try to help them in their attempts by improving the capacity of the organizations or institutions that support them (we call them our 'project partners'). Direct contact with the people in the villages and towns that need support, is severely hampered by the ubiquitous 'language gap' (in most of the countries we are in now). Hence our need for 'project partners', intermediaries, such as NGO's, schools, hospitals, care-homes and social enterprises targeting the 'bottom of the pyramid'. We try to mobilize human resources ('volunteers', 'tourists' and 'social investors') to operate in three 'spaces': volunteering & interning, responsible tourism and social investment. Show less
