During the tedious pandemic, I decided to do something creative and published a novel called "Beyond the Door" on Amazon KDP. The Alberta School of Business offered an AXFORD Impact Series Case on improving Downtown Vibrancy in Edmonton. Our presentation earned my team and I second place out of 260 case presentations. I am very proud and grateful to have been part of such a proactive group and to have the opportunity to partake in this! The AIBC is a student-run competition orchestrated by the University of Alberta where business schools from all over the world send their brightest students to compete as a team to solve real-world business problems. I was a team ambassador for Concordia Montreal University where I attended to their needs and facilitated the logistics for their competition. It was a very educational experience where a lot of networking took place with exceptional people in the business world! With my wonderful exec team, we would provide and participate in volunteer opportunities meant to boost volunteerism and student morale at JPHS. We volunteered with many organizations such as the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, and Hawrelak Park. We also set up many in-school fundraisers for humanitarian causes such as Pencils of Promise, Doctors without Borders (MSF), and The Thirst Project. As a hostess, I kindly greeted & seated customers, organized reservations, and cleaned up tables. It was a very cooperative management filled with amazing co-workers. However, during the height of the pandemic, many of us were unfortunately laid off. As a hostess, I kindly greeted & seated customers, organized reservations, and cleaned up tables.
