Ghaleya Callender
I had the pleasure of working with Malesha during our service year with NYC Service. We both worked for NYC Parks—Partnerships for Parks and the Stewardship Team, respectively—as community organizers. She is dependable and makes every day tasks seem effortless as she is very efficient, a team player and a fast learner. Malesha is always willing to accept a challenge and delivers an exceptional product. I hope to work with Malesha in the future as I know she will be a valuable asset to my team as well as any organization of which she is a part.

In the Preventable Admissions Care Team program (PACT), my duties were to assist the social workers in helping their patients to prevent readmission into the hospital. This was done by researching community resources for patients such as Meals on Wheels and Access-A-Ride. I also scheduled appointments and transportation for them. From time to time, I did wellness check-ups via the phone to see if patients needed additional services.
