I spent 12 of the last 16 months working as an assistant project designer at Tabberson Architects. I have worked in the schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of a dozen or so projects. I drafted plans, elevations, sections, wall construction details, and site plans using AutoCAD. Working with most of my coworkers on a number of different projects has taught me a lot about collaboration and communication. Desk Staff at the AJ Building Art Gallery

I was the first person a visitor would speak with upon entering the Arts and Journalism Building's art gallery. I spoke with students, faculty, and visitors about the artwork, exhibits, and galleries on display. I occasionally assisted the artists in setting up their work for exhibitions. Most of the artwork shown belonged to Ball State Undergraduate and Graduate Students, as well as Ball State faculty. I worked on a variety of projects and jobs while at Springfield. I learned a handful of useful skills while I roofed homes and lake houses, restored interior spaces that were infested by mold and mildew, and cleaned out or cleaned houses that suffered from severe smoke and fire damage. I learned the logistics of roofing, siding, and putting gutters on new and existing homes and buildings. I also found out how to remediate mold damage, and restore or repair affected areas.
