  TREDJE NATUR is built on the idea that everything in the world is interconnected and we must fathom the complexity of the big picture for change to be possible. We build upon the acceptance that any local area is the starting point for long-lasting change and holistic proximity.This holistic perspective indicates that the problems of the world cannot be solved by only thinking about the individual parts of the system. And that the optimal framework for a high quality of life is not achieved by solely looking at buildings, sustainability, aesthetics, solutions, cities or biology alone. The office’s approach is based on the understanding that the world is dependent on the vitality of nature, and that we are connected in the physical world. We are creative, emotional and sentient beings in a constant dialog with our surroundings. We pursue the dream of transparent cities that invites to an understanding of the city’s ecological cycles. An understanding that informs our ability to make meaningful and informed choices in our daily lives. We call this the empathic city, where all the city’s individual parts and users are reach a state of respectful equilibrium. We have entered a new geological era, where mankind itself is a force of nature. ‘Nature First’ describes a way of pointing to a new self-concept and a new narrative about how urban development and architecture can help us tackle the climate challenge. TREDJE NATUR wants to create a new kind of architecture that embodies experimentation, creativity and learning – making our cities adapted to what is living in the city, not vice versa. It is time we stopped putting `Money First´ as a principle for urban development and instead began putting ‘Nature First’. We are working for a city which develops in spite of trends since the impact of the climate crisis on our cities speaks loud and clear. Show less
