  I executed the role of client representative for the Pearl GTL project in Qatar initially based in London, then Scotland and then Qatar. I was responsible for technical assurance and system integration for the site wide control and telecommunication systems, with additional responsibility for inter-discipline coordination and telecommunications. Employed as a consultant in control and automation, instrumentation and telecommunications for worldwide projects for Shell and its partners. I have been responsible for all aspects of design, construction, commissioning, training, operations and maintenance of worldwide Shell operations. Engaged on Persian LNG (6 * 8MMTA), as project engineer coordinating the whole FEED document package as well as controlling my own discipline (Instrument and Telecommunication) work, this was executed in Yokohama, Japan. Previously engaged in projects for: Iran SMDS, Brunei LNG, Gabon Upstream Oil and Gas, Bintulu SMDS, Malaysia LNG and Mexico LNG, China gas transmission (WEP), Bolivia Gas, Bulgaria Oil refinery, Namibia Floating LNG (Kudu) and sub-sea development, Australia Floating LNG (Sunrise) and Nigeria LNG including several assignments to these locations. Some of these projects had very large utility systems for waste water treatment and generator systems up to 1500MW.The engagements have been in every aspect of a project from conceptual design through to start-up and initial operations. Including: HAZID, HAZOP and IPF (SIL Classification).I was a member of the Shell DEP author team so have been involved in revising and preparing new and revised company standards and methods. I have been engaged to train Shell staff, its partners and contract personnel in use and development of Shell in house standards, tools and methods.During this time I was the telecommunication focal point for Shell Global Solutions.
