It was a pleasure working with Max for several years on a project where Max was instrumental in making a success. He is a true craftsman when it comes to software engineering. No matter the tool (Java, javascript, React, postgresql, redis, etc) he is able to use it to deliver was is needed for the project. Couple that craftsmanship with his ability to see the forest through the trees and you have an exemplary technical lead that will help both technical and non-technical folk navigate through the complexities of delivering apps in today's ever evolving technical landscape. I highly recommend Max as he will be an invaluable asset to any team he is a part of.

I had the pleasure of working with Maksim at Wiley from 2019-2023. I am in a Product Management role at our home office in Hoboken, NJ for our Assessment Service and he was the Technical Lead for Software Development Engineering on the WileyPLUS education platform. Together we service ~700,000 student users per semester globally in addition to the many instructors who adopt our products at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels of University. I plan feature enhancements for our WileyPLUS education platform (think auto-graded homework, algorithmic questions with randomized values to maintain academic integrity and secure testing, as well as the many settings instructors select when building a practice, homework, quiz, midterm, or final exam assignment). Items such as high-stakes timed assignments, number of attempts, question assistance, question pools, due dates, and when to show answer-specific feedback are just some examples of projects we worked on together. Executing timely, bug-free code is extremely important when operating in a competitive University-level testing environment. Instructors and students depend on us to have 99.9% uptime and to evaluate their exams accurately because their grade hangs in the balance. Based on customer research and feedback from the Sales, Marketing & Editorial teams I would come to Maksim with a narrative documented in Confluence and wireframes mocked up in Figma from our UX team of designers. Maksim provided technical solutions so we could execute on tight timelines and deliver value to all of our users. Even with a reduction in developer capacity, he found a way to get the job done, full stop. On a personal level, I could tell that Maksim prioritizes his role in an organization. We operate in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) of 12-week increments containing 6, 2-week development sprints. To say that Maksim was present, creative, thoughtful, and relatable is an understatement. Wherever he lands he will be successful because he has skills you cannot train in a teammate. He's curious and will go out of his way to help, simply put, he cares! Maksim is proficient in staying in a swim lane and following a process all while offering insights and clever solutions to tricky problems. Undoing bottlenecks while not causing any downtime for our customers is a key measure of success that sticks with me to this day. I miss our side chats about American Football vs. Soccer, current events, and new movie releases. Character, integrity, grit and resilience come to mind as I fondly think back on working with Maksim. Thank you, Matt Origoni 201-783-5081
