- Manages and coordinates climate change programmes consigned by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) and Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) including; international market mechanisms for mitigation, bilateral cooperation, regional confidence building, and capacity development. - Engaged in developing countries' climate change mitigation planning support at national and local government levels and development of policy measures/instruments such as energy/carbon reporting systems, market mechanisms, and benchmarking, MRV etc. - Engaged in Climate Change Negotiation as a member of the Delegation of Japan at the UNFCCC since COP10. Acted as the lead negotiator on Art.11 (capacity-building) of the Paris Agreement at COP21. - Coordinated domestic carbon offset programmes through "Carbon Offset Network", established by leading companies and local governments in efforts to promote climate change mitigation through carbon offset Show less
