I was involved in and successfully turned the business around from a not-for-profit organisational culture to a for profit, with clear annual targets and income levels which has been developed down to branch levels. Financial results have increased substantially with ROE growth from 2.8% to 18% in 3 years. During the process of change, we eliminated unproductive work processes, centralized quick-loans approval process and established a call-centre. We simplified the decision-making hierarchy, decentralized contract formalization & digitized clients’ documents management system. Among many initiatives that have delivered significant value for the company, we introduced soft competition ratings, strongly emphasizing customer service quality, client drop-out rates, profitability etc. We also managed to be the first company in Jordan which obtained the Microfinance company license under the new regulations of the Central Bank of Jordan.
