  As a hostess I controlled the flow of the restaurant, understanding the flow and process of how the entire restaurant works. If the floor gets overwhelmed, as will the kitchen, the dish pit, the servers, the bartenders etc. Learning how to maintain a busy night without creating an overwhelming environment was an amazing opportunity to fine-tune my logistics skills. I improved my customer service skills, being the front-woman required dealing with difficult customers and called for creative problem-solving. Show less
