  I understand that for most employers, taking on an 18yo with little experience in the work force is oftentimes not preferable. However, I have developed skills and qualities that can be rather useful in almost any job, and am eager to get started with putting them to work! I believe these skills and qualities make me a better candidate than many others around my age and experience. Over the past nine years, I have been an active volunteer at The Wild Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization that rescues captive exotic animals from abusive situations. The main focus of my volunteer work at the Sanctuary has been working with visitors, educating them about the Sanctuary, its mission, and its animals. As a result, I am fairly skilled at interacting with customers, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment (especially one in which others feel able to ask questions), and helping them to make informed purchases and investments. Having graduated with a GPA of 3.683 while maintaining interests in music and art throughout all of high school, I am a creative soul who loves to learn and find ways to improve her surroundings. I would love to be able to apply myself in a job that will help me to grow as an individual as I prepare to take on more of life.
