I support the co-founders establish a brand presence in the UK using my sales, marketing and branding skills. I attend customer events, visit retailers, build relationships, work with the team to discuss and implement sales opportunities, work on marketing activities, help develop the brand voice along with new business opportunities. Having recently launched in the UK, along with the fact that the no/lo category is now the most dynamic drinks category in the UK with 1 out of 4 people preferring to drink no or less alcohol, it's an exciting business to be working in.More on the brand from my perspective:Mahala Botanical is a triple distilled alcohol-free spirit - a farm to glass product crafted from 9 botanicals. It’s complex in taste, and free from sugar. Mahala means free in Zulu - free from sugar, gluten & alcohol, artificial colourings and is vegan friendly. It offers an uncomplicated serve too - simply mix it on the rocks with a tonic of your choice, ginger beer or sparkling water with a garnish of lime lemon or orange. Mahala makes a fabulous alternative to an alcoholic beverage, but most importantly its choice enabling (whether you like to drink alcohol or not!) Distilled by a female master distiller in Cape Town (South Africa), it makes for an interesting story given that Danielle came up with the idea of a non-alcoholic spirit (distilled exactly like you would do a vodka) during lock down where the government banned all production, buying and selling of alcohol.
