As Community Manager, it's my role to create content that helps people discover what we do and aspire to do it with us. But that's not all... When we’re out in the field, you’ll find me with a trowel in one hand and a Twitter feed in the other. As well as making sure our Field Venturers are happy, it’s my job to keep the worldwide community of Digital Venturers who support our digs from a distance up to date and involved in discussions about what we’re finding. In short, to provide them with an immersive, online archaeological experience. Of course, the job’s not done when the excavation is over. Off site, I’m involved in planning and delivering crowdfunding campaigns, managing Digital Dig Team (our online community hub) for each project, and nurturing the conversations within our growing community, most of whom have a voracious appetite for archaeological news, know-how and updates on when they can next come digging.
