Virtual Work Experience

Dec 2021 - Jun 2022
This experience allowed me to gain an insight into the more specific tasks of a solicitor, practice my skills and adapt my work based off feedback. I completed tasks such as drafting a witness statement to be used in a litigated claim, assisting with a client pitch presentation, leaving a voicemail for a client and drafting a memo on the effect of a force majeure clause. I found this experience interesting, and it cemented my desire to train and practice as a solicitor. I worked part time as a waitress prior to University. I continued this role during my studies outside of term time. I have developed time management skills both whilst on the job, and when balancing my job to ensure my studies remained paramount. Having experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment has enabled me to remain calm in stressful situations, and to use my initiative to make decisions quickly when necessary. Within this role, I have demonstrated leadership skills and communication skills, which have benefitted the team. Additionally, it has required me to demonstrate professional communication skills with customers, which I have been able to transfer to client interaction during my legal work experience. Show less
