In this position, I successfully established a private diagnostics laboratory offering home-based diagnostic solutions for STIs (HIV, HPV, Chlamydia, etc.). My responsibilities included planning and sourcing of all laboratory equipment required to construct a molecular diagnostics system, and establishment of local supply chains for reagents and materials. I was personally responsible for the processing of all clinical samples from receipt through to molecular testing and delivery of results, including all associated documentation and recordkeeping. I was required to deliver these results under strict time schedules. My duties also included inventory management and general laboratory maintenance. I also acted as scientific advisor for the company's product development team. I was required to conduct scientific literature reviews, and product and market research, and present my findings to the team, including the CEO and VP of Sales and Marketing. These results were used to inform decisions regarding new products and marketing campaigns.

I performed qPCR experiments and statistical analyses of large epidemiological datasets for the preparation of a government budget report and presentation for stakeholders, doctors and senior scientists. This role involved epidemiological analysis and management of large clinical datasets, and preparation and delivery of scientific reports to a wide range of audiences.
