During my collaboration with Maikel at both Liantis and Verhaert digital, Maikel has always shown himself to be a valuable colleague. Personally, I enjoyed our collaboration very much as Maikel was always ready to take a look at a problem, but also to sometimes challenge me in the solutions I offered. Maikel has a very high technical insight, both in software architecture and in the way code is written and always strives for a perfect and extendable solution. While this did not take away from the fact that he too was open to other suggestions. The technical capacities Maikel displayed also rekindled the somewhat dying flame in me. I was somewhat stuck in old beliefs and methods that I knew worked well. Maikel challenged me to try the alternatives and helped me find my love for programming again. If I would be asked to work together again in the future, my answer is a resounding YES, since I had the feeling that we complemented each other nicely.
