I had the pleasure of managing Mai directly at Creative Labs for a number of years. When I took over the IT group Mai made the transition very easy for me. She is very organized and always had a great handle on the projects as well as the people under her. Mai is one of the few people I have had the privilege of working with that could balance the business requirements with the challenges of the technical implementations, always making the best possible decisions and/or recommendations to meet the needs of all parties involved. Mai always put in the extra effort to help ensure that projects were successfully completed and her internal customers were satisfied. Mai was my manager at Creative Labs for 6 years. Mai was an excellent application manager with deep knowledge of business process and technology awareness. Mai led 5 ~ 7 of employees through multiple enterprise level application developments. Mai set clear direction and vision of the team; helped team member to work through the difference and boosted team morale. It was a great training to go through all the hands-on analysis and troubleshooting process with Mai. Up to now, Mai is still my mentor. • Just in time order management process; moved majority of our distributor/retailer orders to ship directly from factories in China. • Transitioned from using Creative's own warehouse management team for order fulfillment to external third party logistics (3PL). • Transitioned several eCommerce sites to Amazon’s platform and streamlined inventory replenishment process for the webstores. • Participated in the implementation of Oracle ERP applications (11.5.8) and warehouse management system - Red Prairie. • Brought Creative’s subsidiary - Cambridge SoundWorks, into Creative's set of book, which included integrating its eCommerce, channel orders process, and order fulfillment into Creative’s 3PL, as well as its return and customer support process into Creative’s systems. • Designed and implemented Creative’s US Pricing System (ASP.NET, C#, SQL 2005), which enables management of over 200 customers’ prices. • Designed and implemented Marketing Development Fund System, which tracked funds granted to the customer for marketing development. • Designed and implemented Creative worldwide sales forecast system. • Designed and developed Creative’s US Data Warehouse. Adopted Business Objects as the company wide OLAP tool. Supported sales, operations, and finance analysis by delivering hundreds of reports across more than 30 subject areas. • Designed and implemented numerous Lotus Notes workflow applications to improve various operation and business process flow – which included electronic purchase requisition, new part number creation, non-conforming material reporting, Sales and Training DB, and Customer Incidents Management System. • Supervised JAVA based web applications development, such as Rebate Management System and Customer Response System. • Participated in various enterprise-wide packaged application selection.
