Served as the field-‐based technical manager for this USAID-‐supported nutrition project, leading activities to integrate and scale-up nutrition into the country’s HIV program. Working with the National Institute of Nutrition, the Ministry of Health, and the Administration for HIV/AIDS Control, developed national guidelines on nutrition and HIV together with an in-‐service training curriculum package: a facilitator handbook, participant handouts, and job aids. Delivered technical assistance to PEPFAR-supported NGO counterparts and health facilities to roll-out a nutrition, counseling and support (NACS) HIV care and treatment program in nine focus provinces. Supported the government to establish a Nutrition and HIV Technical Working Group. Contracted with and supervised research institutions to conduct assessments on the national prevalence of malnutrition and a clinical acceptability study of specialized food products.
