I had the pleasure of working along side Mahyar during our enrollment at BrainStation Academy. Mahyar and myself worked on a team industry project for Air Canada along with other talented individuals. Mahyar displayed excellent leadership and team skills while coming up with a solution for our challenge. His knowledge of Data Science paired with his exemplary skills in SQL were a crucial foundation in delivering our solution. His communication skills were also beneficial for the engineers and UX designers to put his data analysis to work. His understanding of Data Analytics are quite impressive. As soon as we were given the challenge, Mahyar got to work immediately, and gave us a detailed break down of the data provided. He also provided creative insight on multiple possible solutions for the challenge at hand. After his full data analysis, he continued to work with the team showing a broad knowledge of all disciplines. He was able to help the engineers and the UX designers deliver the final solution. His skills extend beyond Data Science. Not only does he have a vast knowledge of Python, but he was very knowledgeable and helpful while we were writing code in React. His Capstone project was extremely impressive and insightful. His development of a machine learning model to maintain and predict the quality of questions asked on Stack Overflow is a great solution to his thesis which would be beneficial to the company.
