  As Product Specialist I was responsible for all tasks related to maintenance of Aker's standard Valves & Actuators product portfolio. This consists of defining and following up engineering tasks, and also defining the product maintenance process. I am also a key contributor to our product standardisation process.The position also consisted of the lead role for my product area in Aker's global cost reduction program. In this program the product teams work with Supply Chain towards our sub-suppliers to implement cost reducing changes. I have also been part of a pilot project for implementation of a new system for product classification and requirement management. I participated in and led large task force investigations (Root Cause Analysis).I was the main technical contact point for the key suppliers for my product area.

  I worked the business area Kongsberg Protech Systems within the Kongsberg Group.I started as a mechanical designer , but moved into the role as Hardware Lead CROWS after a short period. In this role I was responsible for all hardware related tasks within the CROWS II frame agreement*. The delivery product in this frame agremeent is the Konsgberg Remote Weapon Station. The system consists of mechanical, electronic and optical components. The role was closely linked to Configuration Management and, through working with them, I learned much about engineering change management. In the CROWS project all changes had to be approved by the client, which gave me experience in communicating directly with project client on a regular basis. In my role I reported to the Project Managment team.*CROWS II is the frame agreement for deliveries of Remote Weapon Stations from Kongsberg Protech Systems to the US Army.
