Key player in the fast-growing energy company Vesterålskraft Strøm, a small organization that challenged far bigger compentitors. We held strong focus on sales, product development, digital transformation and continuous improvement through lean management. My responsibilities included everything related to marketing, in addition to being deeply involved in sales management, corporate strategy and administrational tasks. After a while I also became responsible for marketing at the fiberoptic sister company Vesterålskraft Bredbånd AS, a distributor of Altibox TV and internet solutions. For half my time in Vesterålskraft i functioned as the deputy employee representative at the board. Achievements I'm especially proud of:- We increased our customer base by over 150% in the years I worked there and increased profitability per customer significantly.- We implemented a loyalty program for our customers. The loyalty program was based on the quantitative analysis and results i found in my bachelor thesis about loyalty among electricity customers. The program was one of the first of its kind in the Norwegian energy sector. Later, several of our competitors released concepts identical to ours. - I was co-leading the implementation of new power meters within the region (AMS), responsible for all internal and external communication. This was very challenging due to resistance among many customers. It was a rocky journey, but we pulled it off with great results. Vesterålskraft Strøm AS was on June 27th 2019 acquired by Fjordkraft Holding ASA for 27,3 MNOK.

      - Involved in establishing a sales force as a new strategic business unit. The aim was to accelerate sales, upsell existing customers and improve KTI through "feelgood conversations". The sales force boosted KTI, reduced churn to a minimum and made the company more profitable than ever.- Created an eLearning program for the new sales recruits, eliminating the need for lame company presentations and limiting the sales managers personal effort to sales coaching.

Student business started as part of the course "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" in high school. The purpose of the paper was to learn and practice how to start a company, by starting from scratch without a business idea and ending with dissolution of the company. I enjoyed two semesters of constant learning, especially related to the difficult task of being in a leadership position.
