      I was mainly responsible for preparing correspondence for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on in-country travel and individual cases’ permission to exit Egypt for the purposes of Resettlement to a third country, as well as liaising with Resettlement countries in relation to case submission, follow-up actions and departure. In addition, for six months in the resettlement unit, I was responsible daily for routine processes as filing, scheduling cases for resettlement interviews, data entry of cases into “progress” database of recognized refugee cases, updating their basic information, and conducting telephone counselling and gate counselling with refugees.
