The world of opportunity that supplier inclusion brings to business growth in Europe is in safe hands. Maggie continues to champion enterprise opportunities for women and I applaud the outstanding job she has done and continues to do with WEConnect Europe

I work closely with Maggie Berry in her capacity as Executive Director of WEConnect International Europe. Together with Maggie and other corporate members, we successfully launched WEConnect in The Netherlands and, since then, have grown to represent an increasing number of women owned businesses. Much of our success has been built on the

I had lead responsibility for the management, leadership and development of WEConnect International in Europe. My role involved developing corporate and public sector support as well as growing and developing a database and network of registered and certified women business owners across the UK and Europe. WEConnect International is a corporate led non-profit that helps to empower women business owners to succeed in global markets. When women start and grow businesses they create jobs, help the economy and improve communities. WEConnect International provides the knowledge, networks, certification and platform women business owners need to reach new markets and prosper. They partner with a range of supporting organisations to identify and certify businesses that are at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women. Show less

I managed womenintechnology.co.uk, an on-line job board and networking group for women working in the IT profession in the UK. We launched the website in March 2005 and Women in Technology subsequently developed into a high profile job board and networking forum organisations used to attract more female talent. We built up an active network of 7,000 technology professionals (backed up by a larger network of nearly 13,700 female technologists) committed to promoting women in IT in both the public and private sectors. We organised regular networking events which I believe play a vital part in attracting (and retaining) women in the IT profession. These ranged from formal debates with guest speakers and interactive audience discussion to informal drinks evenings where people can get together in a non-work environment. During the time I worked for McGregor Boyall, I held three different positions – laterally that of Sales Support Manager which involved supporting the recruitment sales team in their day to day activities. I managed the recruitment and induction process for new starters, organised the in-house training scheme and undertook any tenders, RFIs or bid work documentation. As an Account Manager, I ran the permanent recruitment account for Deutsche Bank and took McGregor Boyall to the top of the PSL.
