Duvall Decker Architects had the privilege of working with Maggie Thacker in a successful pursuit for a new Federal Courthouse for Greenville Ms; a GSA Design Excellence project. Maggie, in her capacity as Director of Marketing for EDR played an instrumental role in the team's selection for the work. The pursuit was a joint effort between Duvall Decker and Eskew Dumez Ripple. The successful Duvall Decker proposal linked myself with Steve Dumez as co-lead designers in a collaborative effort. Each firm and design principal had unique and complimentary strengths. Maggie helped this complex team find and hone its singular voice to appeal to the client (GSA), the court, and to the community. Maggie's unique approach to marketing is at all times, a means to achieve public good. She believes, as I do, that architecture matters. It defines and teaches us who we are, and who we strive to become. Her finely-nuanced approach to marketing is beyond
