CVAA works alongside statutory and other partners to develop policy and practice which puts children first, always.   Leading a charity working across the North of England dedicated to ending social exclusion. Foundation undertakes inspiring work with ex-offenders, young people, domestic abuse survivors and homeless people; providing the housing and support they need to build positive lives in the community. Partnerships with RSL's and private landlords are key as are those with local authorities, Probation and a host of local charities working with us to provide links with local people, volunteering opportunities and practical help. Customer empowerment is at the centre of all Foundation's work, with customers on the Board and almost 20% of staff employed from customer groups. Our new Strategic Plan ( 2015-18) commits Foundation to building co-production into everything we do and we have made a great start with customer expertise supporting the development of our web site, interviewing for staff and delivering training and group work alongside front line teams. Its a tough environment in which to maintain and grow high quality services, but my inspirational colleagues and our amazing customers show me everyday that we can overcome the odds. Show less
