My research focused on ways to improve the sustainability and efficiency of the Greenland Halibut (Turbot) fishery in Northern Regions of the Atlantic Ocean. I was also working with a team conducting Inshore multi-species resource assessments in waters adjacent to Kimmirut, Nunavut; a small arctic community on the southern shore of Baffin Island. Our hope with this work is to eventually help to improve food security and economic prosperity in Canadian arctic communities in a sustainable and easily adaptable manor.
