  I became an Orientation Leader Coordinator (OLC) after being hand-picked by the professional staff of the First Year Experience office. As an OLC, I was responsible for conducting interviews to select new members of the orientation team in the fall semester. In the spring, I led them through a 10-week training process that focused on Auburn history, academic information and policies, how to provide exceptional customer service, and mastering the campus tour route complete with facts and stories for the Orientation Leaders to give to incoming students and their parents. During orientation session days, my job was to ensure that all OL's were doing their jobs, I led presentations for both students and parents, and I served as a liaison between OL's and professional staff. Being an OLC is a rewarding experience because we are seen as Auburn University's top student leaders.
