Maggie is an exceptional talent and a great team player. She has the highest command of the many digital platforms and creative tools available. Her work always has the "WOW FACTOR" that is needed to bring concepts to life. Her creative spirit and collaboration are key to her professional success. By the nature of our work, Maggie often received assignments at the very end of our work stream, right up against critical deadlines and with difficult directions. She always delivers on time and at a very high quality! Additionally, Maggie has the rare ability to absorb multiple requests and deliver a set of options and digital solutions that surpass expectation. I love having her on my team and i'm confident that anyone who works with her feels the same!

Working directly with the CEO of Canopy WS, I began my role as Creative Director by designing a logo, brand guide, website and social media presence. I planned company advertisement campaigns, selected and planned trade shows, and managed all visual communications and brand consistency in sales and operations departments. I designed the UI and UX and worked directly with developers to bring the overall creative concept to completion. Using the Adobe Creative Suite of design software, I designed visual concepts including book covers, marketing materials, email and direct mail campaigns, advertisements and new products. I collaborated with the art director and marketing manager to pitch new concepts and designs for books and customer-focused marketing campaigns. Because of my prior experience in copyediting, I was able to go above and beyond the standard requirements of the position and assist in paginating and editing upcoming publishings.

My work with the local newspaper began as a part time ad designer, composing newspaper, magazine and web ads for local businesses. Within three months, I took on the role of contributing reporter, moving to Features Editor which included writing editing and designing features in the Health, Food and Leisure sections. I later took on the additional role as Creative Lead for a secondary publication, the “Xtra,” a special, weekly, promotional paper. This role included creating a logo, selecting content, designing ads and managing marketing and branding.
