Since September 2021 I have held a position of the Cycling UK Development Officer for Orkney as a part of the Rural Connections Project. The core aim of the project is to support people to cycle, walk and wheel - for everyday journeys, leisure and adventure, through a range of cycling and walking activities for all abilities. These include: short and long-term cycle loans to help people find a cycle that works for them, support for local organisations to coordinate and add walking, wheeling and cycling opportunities to their existing activities (better biking sessions, confidence rides, bike led rides, basic bike maintenance sessions), upskilling of volunteers to deliver activities in their communities and keep cycles working if there is no local bike shop, localised networks of organisations, communities and individuals supporting walking and cycling initiatives. I have used my expertise and local knowledge to work closely with community groups and organisations, local businesses, public sector agencies and individuals, to continue the successful delivery of the project. I provided creative, operational, technical and practical support to the leading Artist and Programme Tutor. As a Workshop Assistant, my position involved a wide range of duties; from mentoring the students, ensuring their participation in the workshop programme is not only fully comprehended but also to enhance and maximise their experience, to providing necessary support by creating daily summary reports, up to date documentation, building up digital content and promotional materials. Sundries Buyer & Assistant to the Outdoor Manager

As an Assistant to the Outdoor Manager & Sundries Buyer, my main duties involved providing support to the Manager as well as the whole indoor and outdoor plant team on a daily basis, from coordinating and supervising daily work schedule, placing orders, stock control, visual merchandising, to ensuring that the sundries department is well stocked and maintained, introducing new range of products and seasonal varieties, dealing with suppliers, issuing and checking invoices, updating costs and prices, as well as a regular market research. Additionally, I was responsible for customers' garden designs and proposals, from small to medium size projects which mostly involved preparing mock up plans & designs, providing garden design solutions, price list and care advice. I've had an incredible opportunity to volunteer on this remote walnut farm in Chile for over three months. Its organic vegetable, herb and fruit gardens were my main duties as a junior grower and assistant gardener. Harvesting, planting, pruning and daily maintenance were some of the many tasks I undertook during this period. The farm uses a biodynamic way of farming which has given me a valuable insight and introduction into this balanced way of growing. As a Seasonal Warden at the Glenbrittle Campsite on the Isle of Skye, my main duties involved customer service at the campsite cafe, checking-in guests, providing information about the local attractions, hiking and climbing routes around the Cuillin mountain range, assisting visitors who required further assistance or guidance during their stay, which very often involved making sure that all hikers and climbers returned safely to the campsite, as well as daily maintenance of the site. My duties included meeting the clients, creating individually tailored designs, mood boards and proposals for their wedding day, planning, ordering flowers, making sure that the logistics and operational side of the installations are in place, delivering the floral designs, liaising with company's contractors, organisers, wedding planners and photographers, as well as clearing the events.
