  As an intern I was helping with daily basis office jobs, however within the time I was given more responsibilities jobs. I was choosing books pictures covers, checking books lay out, indexing, and revising content of written materials, in preparation for final publication. In marketing section, as main Elsevier marketing department is in US, we were focusing on produced display materials and then fitting them to UK market (i.e. things like posters, book sells meetings, auctions), also we were producing publishing catalogs.   As a researcher of journalist - Elzbieta Byszewska, I was in charge of helping her to create an everyday news story. This activity included making interviews with important people like Minister of Health or spokesmen of Polish NHS. Also doing a research about current situation and finding out the news stories to help create a news bulletin. I was also helping to create a voice over to every news story. At the end of the placement I was given a job offer as a news researcher with further opportunity to became a journalist. Show less
