Operations Excellence Manager
-
Jun 2021 - Nov 2022
My time as Amgard cell lead, SIOP & Production Manager, revealed multiple efficiency opportunities which I desired to be a part of fixing. When the role for Operations Excellence Manager then became available I jumped at the opportunity to build a new team, focused on fixing the operations teams concerns, some of which I worked closely on. To date, the team have delivered improvements on SQC's, redesigns of production flow and structured introductions to new products, including the first steps to a new training process for all manufacturing operators. Due to the impact of Covid on recruitment and the changing company priorities, my was requested to return to a manufacturing role and focus on improving productivity. The SIOP role was reduced ro a planning only role which I recruited for. Taking full eladership of the shop floor and working with the head of manufacturing, we continued focus on increasing OTD & resource management.

SIOP Manager (Supply, Inventory, Operations planning)
-
Jun 2020 - Feb 2021
Taking opportunity to review the current supply & operations process, Fortress offered me the opportunity to lead the full planning process for manufacturing in the UK site. This started with evaluations of the communications between mutliple teams within fortress, how the supply and demand data was driven in the ERP and identifying missing key roles. Through this, I succefully recruited the companies first Supply chain manager, a key gap in the compnies talent portfolio. Due to the impact of Covid, my focus then moved to the operations floor and the planning to increas OTD. With this we managed to succefully delivery one of the largest projects to date with a 40% volume increase through the Tgard cell. Show less

Whilst based at Texecom, I conducted a product evaluation of the full Halma product range for Fire safety notifcation. This involved networking with and travelling to companies: Argus, Apollo, Texecom, Advanced, Ampac, all of whom are key in Halma's Fire detection portfolio. Through this project, I analysed similarities between each of the companies notification offerings and identified key collaboration opportunities. Project Lead - Automation
-
Oct 2018 - Mar 2019
Entering Elfab with no prior knowledge of the pressure safety industry, I quickly adapted to the technology involved in the production of rupture discs. During my 6 month placement at the company, I was tasked with the first stages of automating their SF6 rupture discs used in the switch gear industry. Evaluating output rate, mapping flow and identifying key suppliers of automation were some of the highlights I experienced during this project. After evaluating the investments required against the payback with current operations, I recommended it best to focus on increasing volumes before investing in the technology and saved the company a £340,000 investments at the time. With growth, this opportunity can reenter Elfab's strategy and the ground work will be in place to take forward. Show less
