      • Oct 2019 - Present

In 2019, I established Inuka, an Australian charity with a mission to build stronger community in rural Tanzania. We work in partnership with CHETI NGO, a registered not-for-profit organisation in Arusha. Inuka’s projects are focused on assisting every child in accessing education, providing the opportunity for women to begin their own businesses, and educating communities about sustainability in rural Tanzania; so all can begin to live happier and healthier lives. Notable accomplishments: - Established Cheti 7 school (2019) - Established Cheti 8 school (2020) - Installed seven water tanks across Cheti Schools (2020-2022) - Provide Microfinance loans to 30 widows in the community (2021-2022) - Supplied six laptops for the secondary school computer lab (2021) - Supplied teachers wages and uniforms for Cheti 7 and Cheti 8 (2021) - First student sponsored by an international donor (2022) - Began construction on a vocational centre (2022) During the peak of the pandemic in 2020, we were able to provide all of the staff (70+) at Cheti Schools and some vulnerable members of the community with rice to feed their families whilst they were out of work.

As a Student Advisor at Macquarie University College, I support students during their studies and help advise on their pathway to University. On a daily basis, I meet with students to discuss their study goals, progression and articulation, and welfare concerns, as well as supporting them personally, socially and culturally. This requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of The College's policies and procedures, the pathways available in the Standard Foundation Program, Intensive Program, Diploma and Undergraduate Certificate courses. The College also facilities multiple English Language Programs, which requires understanding entry requirements, and legal and procedural obligations on both an institutional level and government level.
