It has been an absolute pleasure and tremendous learning experience working with Maedean. Maedean and I have partnered together as Underwriting representatives to work with a large team in developing a state of the art underwriting platform technology. Maedean is very experienced and skilled in Underwriting. In terms of understanding coverage forms and interpreting fillings, she is one of the most technically sound Underwriters I've ever worked with, always paying attention to the details. Much of our work together required working across multiple disciplines within the organization, including actuarial, training, change management, IT, and project management among many others. She was able to navigate and collaborate between all of these groups in a very agile manner. On many occasions, Maedean went above and beyond her role to ensure that the project as a whole was heading the right direction and that blind spots were made visible to the group. She's always kept the end user in mind. Beyond all of her strong technical abilities, what has stood out to me is her interpersonal skills. Maedean has an knack for reading a room, understanding non-verbal forms of communications, and predicting outcomes based off all of the information available to her. These skills are very hard to replicate and are invaluable in any work environment. This alone sets her apart, but above all else, I've admired her resilience and unshakable character that allows her to stand up for what is right, to speak up when necessary, and consistently hold a high standard of quality for the work she produces both individual and within a team. I have learned a great deal about integrity and character working very closely with Maedean over multiple years and that partnership has helped my own development tremendously. I am truly grateful for that.

Maedean is a detailed and technically sound underwriter. She has vast underwriting technical expertise that includes commercial property and casualty, workers compensation, auto as well as cyber liability, network security and copyright. Her strengths reside in her ability to quickly assess and analyze accounts and be able to communicate the clients need and match those to coverage. She also has exceptional marketing skills and is great presenter. Her presentations are clear, concise and very thorough. Many times Maedean has served as a trusted advisor to her customers and has closed deals that benefited all parties. She has served as a leader on various projects that have shaped wokflows and brought additional efficiencies. She is a constant professional and strives to create business relationships that have a foundation in understanding value proposition.
