Explained, demonstrated, and participated in kickboxing workouts with an enthusiastic, outgoing, and warm demeanor, while assisting in public relations efforts. I marketed our service at nearby businesses and schools to gain recognition, and made prospect calls to individuals who had completed first-time workouts to sell new memberships. Additionally, I applied my knowledge of fitness to tailor workouts to each member individually, applying modifications or advancements as necessary. Working under Professor Daniel Lopez-Perez as a Summer Scholar, a small team of design researchers addressed issues of overpopulation within the city of San Diego and methods of densification. We proposed the solution of several developed prototypes for accessory dwelling units to be placed on preexisting homes in the area. At the end of the summer, we presented findings to a large group of summer scholars in a variety of study fields.
