I joined the Sports, Recreation, and Activities Department at Pacific Islands Club in Guam in order to work alongside the existing employees, gather feedback, and make recommendations on how to improve their processes with both employee and customer experiences in mind. Most notably, we implemented an Emergency Action Plan in the waterpark and advocated for a pay raise that was enacted to increase morale and drive employee retention. I found immense satisfaction in gathering feedback from employees and generating ideas on how to problem-solve and develop existing processes in ways that benefited everyone.
